Kombucha Banned?

Think you saw Kombucha being sold at Whole Foods last time you were there? You may have, but you won't find one of my favorite drinks there today!

Kombucha is being BANNED in Wholefoods!

thesmugger.com

Do you agree with the decision of the Whole Foods giant? Or do you think that the amount of alcohol is too small to even be discussed?
My opinion:
Either the Kombucha makers or Whole Foods could make changes to ensure Kombucha will be sold at stores nationwide.

The Kombucha bottles could modify their packing to include a warning on the front of the labeling or Whole Foods could make one of these changes:
1) I believe there should be a special section for alcoholic beverages and this should be placed in that area, since there is any amount of alcohol and children should not be in the designated "Adult" area to buy the drink. Adults will then also realize there is a little alcohol in it if it's in this section.

OR

2) If Whole Foods doesn't want to carry alcoholic drinks, there could be a sign next to Kombucha that states that it includes a small percentage of alcohol.

Have any other suggestions?

All in all, Kombucha has too many health benefits to be banned from such a wonderful health food store, so I hope they work to get it back on shelves.

I was just given a link to an article stating that Kombucha is back on Whole Foods shelves in some locations. I'm not sure if it's back in all locations, but wanted to let you all know!
