Garlic Tomato Sauce Comparison

While grocery shopping, I wanted to buy some organic garlic tomato sauce. I have tried both versions, but when I was comparing the two side by side, I thought, "This would be a fun blog post!" Not only would I compare the nutritional facts, but I would compare the taste side by side as well!

So here are my findings:

My son and I both compared the sauces in the same meal, and we both chose the same sauce as our fav.

My son's meal with the 2 sauces...on 2 types of pasta, turkey meatballs, and broccoli.

The 2 sauces to test on brown rice pasta, broccoli, and a salmon veggie roll.
Go ahead...give it a guess....

It was so strange but the sauce with fewer sugars actually tasted sweeter (had a little sugar in the ingredients). The lighter, less chunky version was more flavorful and a bit thicker (Sauces shouldn't be watery...). Doing this comparison was really great because it showed what the less tasty one needed more of (ex: spices) - I barely tasted the garlic!

Give it a guess?

Our choice was the less expensive (on promotion - 2 for $6), super tasty, Muir Glen brand! For only 10 calories more per 1/2 cup serving, it's worth the 60 calories -yum!

Now you try...what do you think?
