From mini dresses to slim pants to short shorts, there was a variety of styles shown on the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards this year.

Janelle Monae
I think she just looks so cute! The black and white suit with bowl hat looks modern and fresh, yet still true to her style.

The flowy vest and shorts show off her amazing, toned body, and it is such a great look for this time of year.

Love the hair and makeup, love the toned tummy, but I don't love that the line across the middle actually widens that part of her body. I would like to see different options, like a lower line across the hips vs. this and just below the belly button. I would need to see the full shape of her body, but I don't think this does her body full justice as I can see the tone and am sure it's amazing.
Ellie Kemper
When I first saw Ellie on TV, I thought, "Wow! Fresh look! Love the red hair with the yellow-gold dress with pink and green flowers!" I get the neon shoes since it's trendy, but I would've preferred a nude to really put the focus on the dress. And get rid of the clutch. The dress, makeup, and hair appear casual, so glitzing it up with a gold sequin clutch would've been cute.

I love this look, from the hair to the makeup to the outfit. I don't love the shoes (pointy is trendy but they look super squished and too high or something).

Love this look as well. The shoes are paired perfectly with the dress. As she moved, the angles of the top were more pronounced - very cool.

This '80's look is very cool and futuristic! Her eyes look amazing. On stage, she wore Converse sneakers, and it wasn't until I saw this photo that I realized that wasn't the original intent. I kind of understood the sneakers since it coincided with her, "I'm too cool for school" attitude!

This dress reminds me of the type of patterned dresses I've been so into lately. The halter style is so flattering on her chest, as are the lines, and the illusion of a sweater being tied around her waist is really different. The dress is from BROOD by designer Serkan Sarier, and the shoes are Tabitha Simmons.

Lucy Hale & Chris Zylka
What a hot couple, and though I would've loved for her dress to be better steamed, they look so great.
