I truly believe that with complete support and appreciation for the effort brought forth, great things can happen.
Today, my son, almost 27 months old, went pee pee in the potty for the first time. So exciting! After sitting with him all day yesterday and most of this morning, and after multiple mishaps, he accomplished the task at hand (wink wink).
Now, I'm not saying that he will become full potty trained this week now that he's gone to the bathroom once in the potty, but it does help me to think he's getting the hang of it. And best of all, he was so proud of himself when he received a sticker for going.
Just knowing something can happen, even once, can make all the difference.
Trying it a couple of months ago when we first bought the potty. |
Personally, I am a very determined, ambitious person, but without the support of my amazing friends and family, I wouldn't be as strong or confident in myself and my abilities.
Who has helped support you? Who have you helped support?
Peace, Love, and Happiness most of all...Amanda

yay for the potty! it takes awhile but eventually, they get it. just be consistent and persistent, and be prepared for some regression once you think they've got it nailed down, it happens and is happening to us right now! also, our potty song is fun-- pee pee in the potty/starts with milk from your mommy/it goes all through your body/pee pee in the potty. (kimya dawson, alphabutt-- awesome kids' album, same artist who wrote the Juno soundtrack.)
