WOMEN:

COSTELLO TAGLIAPIETRA – S/S 12

I love that the show notes quoted Georgia O’Keeffe:
“When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower.”

What a beautiful quote and one that we should each read on a daily basis.

The drapery, printed skinny pants and camisoles, and deep v necklines represented the relaxed, sultry look of the show.

Rag & Bone – S/S 12

Active wear mixed with tailored blazers and flowy maxi skirts = a challenge for most, but a great layering look for those who get it right. Another mix was the mix of thick tweeds with sheer fabrics.

Not loving the chokers, but I do like that the shoes were designed so people can actually walk in them for more than a city block!

The orange, bright red, white, navy and bright turquoise is an interesting palette of colors - Do you like?

Cushnie et Ochs – S/S 2012
My favorite so far!

The fit 'n flare! The candy colored dresses and platforms! The leather, satin, and jersey! LOVE! My can you guess my favorite? The 2nd photo in, the triangle top dress - aaah!

BCBG – S/S 2012

The neutral yet not so neutral color palette, with color blocking and zig zag patterns, with Egyptian-style necklines, and with sexy, silky fabrics, is a wearable one, especially for those of you with olive or darker skin tones.

United Bamboo – S/S 2012

Leather and linen combo...very interesting...

And the mostly black and white palette, the single stripe, the backless jackets, the flowy maxi's, and the tailored shorts made this a collection many would like to wear.


Peter Som – S/S 2012
LOVE!

Doesn't this color palette just make you want to jump up for Spring?!
The pinks, the reds, the yellows, the blues...flowers!
That blue is INSANE! I must...have...it...now!!

Tall and thin? Go for the printed, boxy jacket and pant combo! Petite? Go for the mini!


MEN:

Duckie Brown – S/S 2012

Duckie Brown went with the opposite view of DKNY, and I found it much more interesting and fresh. The loose pleated pants worn with work boots looked...hot! Minus the printed short shorts and jackets, this collection was very masculine and edgy.

NUMBER: Lab – S/S 2012

The west coast vibe makes me want to go to the yacht club and then surfing (Wait - I don't do either!).
The solid bright suits, printed bathing suits, and the bright jackets look awesome, and I look forward to seeing some men strut their stuff too!
