I just finished an inspirational weekend of Level 5 Yoga Certification, and what a weekend it was.
We focused so much on the internal, since the "enlightenment" and internal is the highest level in yoga, much more than the physical part. What do we want in life? How can we focus on THE NOW instead of the past or the future?
My friend Diana, who has been in several yoga posts, graduated with her 200-hour certification today, and I am so proud of her. I wanted us to be connected even after we parted ways on our 200-hr yoga journey, so I bought us matching owl mugs, hers saying, "Love the moment" on the inside, and mine saying, "Be happy" on the inside. I have found Diana to be such a wonderful friend, teacher, and inspiration in so many ways. May we all find like-minded people to connect with who are positive and healthy to be around.
It was an emotional weekend, making us go deep inside our souls to find what is halting us from becoming truly happy and able to move past major hurdles. But it was also emotional in a positive way.
During one song being played today, several of us found ourselves with tears running down our faces. My tears came from a place of appreciation and gratefulness. I was thinking of last night, remembering my son's face with the biggest smile that could not be contained, so big it was from ear to ear, laughter, happiness...and my parents over the house...being silly, playing "Ring Around The Rosey"....just pure joy...
I wish all of my friends who graduated today an amazing continuation of your yoga journey. It has been wonderful spending time with each of you - xoxo.
I am SO grateful.
