Oscar Fashion 2014!!

Below are the favs and not so favs (in betweens not included).

Trends of the night:
Metallic
Nude and white
Sheer
Pastels
Deep colors of black, navy, and charcoal
Heavily embellished

Nude doesn't photograph wonderfully unless it's a close up shot, but it's such a mix of pretty and sexy.

The Favs:

Leonardo Dicaprio looks so sharp. He really took something from that little movie of his ;)

One main man this year, and it's...Ryan Seacrest!
The Burberry cream and white tux with black bow tie - loved it!

Emma Watson
LOVE!! The makeup, the hair, the dress...perfection. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Julia Roberts
Love the COLOR on her with her new hair color and makeup as well.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis
Have you ever seen a more beautiful pregnant woman? Gorgeous in Valentino...

Kerry Washington
I love that she changed up her look this time and looks so rich (deep lips!) in Jason Wu and Jennifer Meyer. And look at those heels while pregnant - ouch!

Sandra Bullock
Another sideswept (see Kate Hudson below) that is paired perfectly with the draping of the gown. Sexy! Sultry!

Amy Adams

The structure and fit is beautiful - Gucci & Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Collection

Calista Flockhart
If you look very closely, the detail is exquisite, and the emerald earrings add such a beautiful pop of color.

Jenna Dewan Tatum
Wow. Wow. Wow. That's it!

Kate Hudson
The draping of the dress paired with the sideswept hair was a perfect pairing. Sultry again..

Kristin Chenoweth in Roberto Cavalli
It looked prettier on TV, but the design still shows in photographs. Great shape for her petite frame, and I'm loving the jewelry and haircut.

Cate Blanchett
Cate knows how to do it in Armani Prive & Chopard. She looks so pretty, and the sheer gown with embellishment is so regal and fits so perfectly.

Guiliana Rancic in a princess gown and smokey eyes:

Portia de Rossi
Loved her dress, and her back looked amazing in it as well. I don't like the hair or makeup (especially on TV for the makeup), but her happiness exudes and that is truly beautiful.

Angelina Jolie
Timeless - she can be 35 or 65, Angelina will always look beautiful in a gown like this. Elie Saab designed her gown. And those eyes!

Lupita Nyong'o
The gown and jewels: Prada & Fred Leighton
I am obsessed with her lately (I will create another blog post JUST for her.), and she did it again. The slim headband and deep neckline are beautiful on her. And that color! She shines...

The No Go's

I could barely see her and was NOT a fan:
Kelly Ripa in Roland Mouret
Getty
Viola Davis in Escada
I love her and was so disappointed! It's just not flattering and I don't like the color on her.
Getty
Anna Kendrick in J. Mendel & Piaget
So much opportunity for a great look and THIS is what she chose - oh no! The mid band looks like bugs displayed horizontally, the hair looks undone, the makeup dated, and then varying lines are too much for the eye to understand at once.

Chrissy Teigen in Monique Lhuillier
Florals are big for spring, but oh my gosh she has such an amazing face and body and this does her no justice! Her hair is messy and not flattering to her face, and the dress, while pretty, is not good enough in my opinion in the pink and black.
Getty
Charlize Theron
The dress was designed so wide and creates a broad look, which isn't so flattering for her body. I like the IDEA of the dress, if it were nipped in and made more narrow, made to look like it fit her body better.
Getty
Julie Delpy in Jenny Packham & Chopard
I understand the "idea" of retro glamour, but the dress and makeup are not flattering and I would've loved to see her in something else.
Getty
Penelope Cruz
A boring choice in my opinion.

So which was YOUR favorite? Least favorite?
SO FUN!
