Grammy HITS & Definite MISSES!

Gorgeous ladies!

The night was full of definite HITS and some crazy or too casual "costumes" as well.
Comment below with your thoughts as well! I have to say I was extremely impressed with some of the ladies.

Overall, the long, detailed gowns really drew me in tonight. The clean lines, intriquite detailing, and beadwork showed the craftmanship of the amazing designers. The makeup was also very beautiful on so many, from the sunkissed natural look of Rihanna to the fairy princess / futuristic/ '40s style all combined...of Katy Perry.

I loved being shocked tonight - super fun to be pleasantly surprised ...on such a sad night due to Whitney Houston's death (RIP - love her).

Now onto the fashion...
Giuliana Rancic wore black (a change!). The strappy shoes paired with the draped strapless satin dress looked beautiful on the now brunette Guiliana.

Another with the gold skinny belt...

Paris Hilton added hers to a white dress. She looked sophisticated and chic in a Basil Sota gown. I loved her hair, her dress, and her makeup - fresh and natural. It wasgreat look and very appropriate for her age and definitely tied for #1 dress of the night (looked even better on TV) - but someone else one the best overall choice (look below!).

Rihanna wore Armani. She co-designed it, wanting a bit of "Scarface" in it - a chic yet gansta look...and it sure is sexy! If anyone can rock it, it's HER. I love the hair and makeup, as well as the shoes and bracelet. She was the girl who every guy wanted and every girl wanted to be.

(I think Alicia Keys wore the same heels! Hey - they're hot!)
Taylor Swift -Yay!!!!!!! She did it! She heard my blog posts asking her to try something NEW! Who designed the dress? Zuhair Murad
She mentioned having to have "blind faith" that things would be good and I found that extremely inspiratational and meaningful.
So... her words, her entire look, and her kind demeanor makes Taylor Swift my #1 choice for the night.

Kelly Rowland wore an Alberta Ferreti gown - beautiful color on her skin tone, loved the hair and jewels, and it fit her perfectly.

Carrie Underwood - I am loving white tonight! This white lace was so strong yet sheer - and it looked A-MAZING. And the back, along with the diamonds and the unrestrictive hair...aaah...beautiful.

Katy Perry looked pretty in Elie Saab, but I really just LOVED the blue color on her skin with the pink lipstick.

Corinne Bailey Rae -Love her hair and makeup as well - such a pretty berry color lipstick and fun, wild yet controlled hair of curls!

Skylar Grey - Some may see her as a bit goth / deep, but I love different styles, and I see her look as gorgeously dark. The white lace (again, yet in a more delicate manner) in a mid-calf length, paired with such dark lipstick and hair, and the red, major shoes, was so opposite of Carrie Underwood's look, but both made such real statements.

Mumford & Sons - I love how unkempt they look, with the facial hair and messy hair, but the 3-piece suits have such a cool cut - not slim like most at the Grammy's...and each guy has his own style, yet they fit together well.

Adam Levine & Anne V  - The only one on this list is Adam because his girlfriend's dress...umm...no comment...but he looks dapper and just very clean and handsome. He looks more grown up than I've ever seen before.

The Civil Wars gorgeous black dress - if anyone has a good pic, please share!

What is going on with these?!

Porcelain Black - Aaah! Where are her clothes? She looks like she went into her grandmother's closet and forgot that she's not a 6-year old child playing dress up. Get some pants or a dress please!

Nicole Polizzi AKA Snookie - The lines on the bustline are very unflattering, and the hair - umm...I don't get it. But the white shoes were the final straw...

Sasha Gradiva - Scary! Between the "guns" and the hair and makeup and the princess dress on a woman who looks like she wants to hunt something...no thank you.

Kelly Osbourne - Between the drab coloring and the strange color pairing of the hair color and the dress, I was very disappointed since Kelly is one of the "fashion experts" for E! Entertainment Television.

Joyce Di Donato - This is a case of the wrong dress on someone. With her muscular frame, Joyce should not be wearing such a delicate, feminine gown. And the hair did not help...

Laurieann Gibson - One or the other but a full leather look is just too much.

Kelly Rowland, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled - Minus Kelly, I don't understand the others. Rick Ross looked good if he was going to dinner or the movies, but this is THE GRAMMY'S!

Nadeea - When I first saw this, I thought I clicked on the wrong page because I thought I was looking at a costume from a Broadway show!
