I had such a great birthday yesterday.
I started off the day dropping my son off at school, which he was super excited about since I usually have to drop him off early for someone to help him onto the bus so I can get to work, and then I met my mom for some shopping and lunch at Nordstroms (our place!). She is the type of mother I strive to emulate, the kind who loves without question and really understands. She wants to make sure her children are happy.
Then I picked Aiden up off the bus (another super exciting event for him!), and we went home to play. It was great :)
Next came a fancy dinner at Red Hat in Irvington, NY. We started out with Aiden giving me a card he made, and then a present. He is becoming such a big boy, and I was honored to receive such a beautiful and thoughtful birthday card.
We enjoyed an amazingly tasty and special dinner together, and I couldn't have asked for more.
My quinoa burger (I wouldn't even call it that - was so unique and delicious!) with steamed veggies:

My son enjoying the delicious gluten free dairy free brownie cake someone made for us. You can tell by his eyes he LOVED it! haha...
A day with loved ones, along with so many special words and thoughts from those who chose to celebrate along with me, made my birthday so special. And shopping, playing, and eating healthy, enjoyable food was a perfect way to celebrate.
Cheers - to an amazing year ahead!
